CANDIDATE FORUM

The Concord – Bethel Democratic Committee's 5th Congressional District Candidate Forum was held on March 16, 2018. The forum was held in the Maris Grove Performing Arts Theater.  Ten candidates attended with over 50 voters from the Concord and Bethel Townships attending.  Dan Foster, Chair of the Concord-Bethel Democratic Committee, opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance followed by an overview of the organization of the evenings program.  Each candidate provided an opening statement which was then followed by questions posed to them by the moderator. The moderator, Ed Keene, began the forum with prepared questions.  During this time audience members had an opportunity to jot down their own questions which were then passed  to a staff person who gave them to the moderator to use.   After the formal program, candidates had the opportunity stay and meet with audience members individually to discuss their questions or concerns.
