Voting Absentee

The deadline to apply for an absentee ballot is 5pm on October 29

Before obtaining an absentee ballot, first ensure that you are registered to vote. Once you are registered to vote, fill out this application:

 

Absentee Ballot Application Instructions

Complete all required information on the Absentee Application Form. You must supply your PA Driver’s License number or PennDOT issued Pennsylvania photo identification card (PennDOT photo ID) number in the blocks provided. If you do not have a driver’s license number or PennDOT photo ID number you must supply the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number.

If you do not have either of these types of identification, check the box entitled, I DO NOT have a PA Driver’s License, PennDOT ID # or SS#. In this case you must enclose a photocopy of an acceptable ID. Acceptable forms of ID are: current, show your name, photo, and have an expiration date, such as; U.S. Passport; U.S. Military ID; Employee photo ID issued by the Federal, Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania County, or Pennsylvania Municipal government; Photo ID issued by an accredited Pennsylvania public or private institution of higher learning; Photo ID issued by a Pennsylvania care facility, including long-term care facilities, assisted living residences, and personal care home. Absentee Deadlines

Absentee Voting Deadlines Are As Follows:

Applications: The last day to apply for a civilian absentee ballot is 5:00PM on the Tuesday before the election – please note that POSTMARKS DO NOT APPLY and original applications must be received (no facsimiles or emails). For the primary election this is May 12th.

Voted Ballots: All civilian voted ballots must be returned to the Delaware County Board of Elections Office by 5:00PM on the Friday before the election – please note that POSTMARKS DO NOT APPLY. For the primary election this is May 15th. If hand delivering, only the actual voter may return their ballot.
